STEPHANIE STOWE is a playwright, director, and a founding and producing member of The Bronx Repertory Company (est. 2005) In addition to her teaching credits at Lehman College’s Department of Multimedia, Music, Theater and Dance (Adjunct Assistant Professor, since 2005), Stowe has directed several Lehman Theater main stage productions, and most recently directed and served as dramaturg for the Lehman College Student Playwright’s Festival (2016-2019).
New work/Produced plays: Breaking Night (2019), Sweet Spot, Saint Vig, Yardbird, Little Victories, El Dia de Los Muertes, Under a Bronx Moon, and Sparkler. Stowe is currently writing the libretto for the original, contemporary musical Mayflower Avenue, currently in workshop production with Good Elephant Entertainment (NYC -2020). Her novel-in-process, Imogen Frette, was selected as a 2018 finalist for the Key West Literary Seminar’s Marian Russo Award. As an actor Stowe has worked with Denver’s Arvada Center for the Performing Arts, The Olney Theater, along with numerous repertory and regional theaters. national and regional tours.
